Honda Civic Hatchback’s Patent Images going Viral on the Internet

MANILA: Patent images of production version of the Honda Civic Hatchback are currently doing rounds on the internet. The newly leaked patent images show a less exciting version of the Civic hatchback prototype that was unveiled at the recent Geneva Motor Show 2016.

These images suggest that the next generation Honda hatchback will be slightly less aggressive than the prototype showcased earlier. The hatchback will most likely ditch the front and rear spoiler lips as well as dual exhaust tips were seen on the prototype. Since the hatchback will be built on the same platform as the Civic sedan, it will carry over the same wheelbase but will be 300 mm  shorter.

Though detailed specifications of the new Civic hatch have not been revealed, it might come with a newly built 1.0-litre three cylinder engine, joined by the 1.5-litre turbo petrol mill available in the sedan and coupe version.

The elite Japanese auto giant has revealed that unlike the outgoing model of Civic Hatchback, the tenth-generation Honda hatchback will be exported worldwide with European deliveries start in early 2017.

The Jaanese automaker had recently commenced sales of newly introduced Hydrogen-powered Clarity FCV. With a series of Honda launches lined-up, the competitors in the auto market will have to soon pull up their socks up.
