Honda Prelude receives cosmetic upgrades with limited-run version

MANILA: Honda just released a limited-edition Prelude in its home country, which gave the vehicle a—somehow—a different character.

For this exclusive version, the Japanese automaker gave the coupe several aesthetic updates while keeping the same performance package.

Meanwhile, the enhancements that can be found in the brand’s limited-edition version comes in the form of crimson-colored portions starting with Premium Crystal Garnet Metallic. This tone gives the car a more sophisticated character.

Aside from that, more design updates (which are basically color changes) have been fitted into the vehicle. Instead of blue, the following portions come in red:

• Accents in the lower front grille and rear bumper
• Brembo caliper brakes

Other updates that can be found in the Limited-Edition Honda Prelude are the body-colored front upper grille molding and 19-inch machined black clear aluminum wheels.

Inside, a mix of Bordeaux and Black hues is applied to the seats, dashboard, and center console.

 Its power still comes from a 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle engine with the Honda e:HEV full hybrid system—the same one found in the existing Honda Civic. This can can deliver the following figures:

Maximum engine output (in horsepower [hp>)	139
Peak engine torque (in Newton-meters [Nm>)	182
Maximum motor output (in hp)	181
Peak engine torque (in Nm)	315

This version carries a sticker price of ¥6,306,300 (approximately P2.371 million)—making the Philippines-spec Honda Prelude more expensive. To note, the model is being retailed in the country for P3.498 million.
