Hongqi PH launch EH7, E-HS7 next month

MANILA: EVOxTerra shall formally introduce the two upcoming Hongqi EH7 and E-HS7 next month.

Such an announcement was made by Hongqi Philippines President Rashid Delgado during the preview of the models.

“We are going to announce the pricing at the launch next month, so we can’t say the pricing at the moment. But we will be launching [the two models> with a competitive price compared to our competitors in the premium EV market,” Delgado told Zigwheels Philippines in an interview.

Earlier, the company shared that the two models will be introduced within the initial half of the year.

In line with the forthcoming launch event, the luxury EV distributor has opened reservations for the two units (said to have indicative prices of around P2-P3 million) that can be done online or on-site.

While waiting for the official announcement, here’s what customers will get should they opt for any of the two models.

Vehicle specifications

EH7

The Hongqi EH7 has the following measurements:

Its “modern and innovative” design language is expressed through exterior appointments that include:

• Distinct upside-down L-shaped LED headlamps with daytime running lights

Meanwhile, the Hongqi EH7 has interior amenities comprised of:

• Electronically-adjustable steering wheel (automatic linkage with seat and rear view mirror)
• 53-inch augmented-reality head-up display
• Dual digital screens (infotainment has Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity)
• 10-12 speaker configuration
• Ambient lamp (with music rhythm function)
• Intelligent touch panel
• Electronic gear shifter
• Dual-zone air-conditioning system (with Anion generator)

It also comes in two drive modes (two-wheel, rear wheel-drive and all-wheel drive format; depending on the trim) — with the mills mated to either a lithium iron phosphate or six-series ternary batteries that offers range of 510-640 kilometers (kms; based on Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure).

Per Hongqi Philippines, such a configuration allows the car to run up to 100 kilometers per hour (kph) from standstill in 3.5 seconds.

The Hongqi eH7 also has fast charging capabilities as the vehicle can be juiced up from 10-80 percent in 20 minutes.

Its host of driver assistive and safety technologies comprise of:

Meanwhile, Hongqi e-HS7 measures:

It also boasts the following exterior features such as:

• Distinct upside-down L-shaped matrix LED headlamps with manual leveling adjuster

• Electric suction door

Inside the crossover’s cabin are:

• Manual or electronically-altered steering wheel covered in Microfiber leather/dermal
• Dual-zone air-conditioning system with automatic air quality control and fragrance system
• Leather seats
• Electronically-adjustable front seats (with massage function for driver)
• 15.5-inch liquid crystal display monitor with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity
• 63-inch head-up display

Just like the eH7, the Hongqi e-HS7 has electric motors in rear-wheel or all-wheel drive set-up paired with an 85- or 111-kwh battery that lets the vehicle cover 475-510 kms.

The electric motors let the vehicle jump from 0-100 kph 3.9 seconds.

Moreover, the vehicle has nearly the similar driver assistive and safety functions as the eH7.

Lastly, the Hongqi e-HS7 will also be available in two trims (Executive and Flagship).

The new nameplates shall expand the brand’s local lineup to eight, joining the current roster made up of:

• H5
• HS3
• HS5
• E-QM5
• H9
• E-HS9

The aforementioned models are showcased at the marque’s dealerships in Bonifacio Global City, Manila Bay, Alabang, and Quezon City.
