JMC PH mall exhibits for Jul. 2024 to showcase Grand Avenue

MANILA: JMC (Jiangling Motors Corporation) Philippines shall exhibit the Grand Avenue at select malls for the month of July.

In a statement, the Astara-backed distributor announced that it shall display the brand’s local flagship model at the following dates and venue:

• July 1-7 – SM Bacolod
• July 1-31 – SM Downtown Cagayan de Oro
• July 3-19 – Virra Mall Greenhills
• July 15-21 – Festival Mall Alabang

“The Grand Avenue promises owners adventures, blending toughness with a premium experience,” Astara Philippines Marketing Director Fatima De Leon vowed.

“Through our nationwide mall tour, we want more Filipinos to discover the remarkable features of the Grand Avenue. This pick-up truck is designed to provide memorable journeys for families and adventurers alike,” she added.

To note, the JMC Grand Avenue among the largest pick-up in its class — measuring 5,450 millimeters (mm) long, 1,935 mm wide and 1,872 mm tall, with a 3,270-mm wheelbase. Its cargo bed is 1,546 mm long, 1,595 mm wide and 546 mm tall and offers an 870-kilogram payload.

Its aggressive exterior look comes with a two-bar grille, squared automatic headlights, and a screaming brand logo at the front; 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 265/65 series tires and wide stepboards at the side; as well as boxy taillamps, solid-looking tailgate, and chrome appliques at the rear.

Moreover, the vehicle offers a 30-degree approach angle and a 26-degree departure angle and can be had in Pearl White, Silver Sand Black, Cosmic Grey, Shining Silver and Sandy Brown body colors.

For its interior, the JMC Grand Avenue provides a comfortable seating position for five occupants that Zigwheels Philippines’s Juan Paulo Papa attested to in his review.

Its cabin is also outfitted with leather upholstery, keyless entry with push-start button, flip-up rear seats, automatic climate control with PM 2.5 filtration, a 3.5-inch digital multi-information display and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is Apple Carplay- and Android Auto-ready.

The vehicle also has a six-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, rear air-conditioning vents, paddle shifters and an electronic parking brake on its automatic transmission variants.

Among the driver assistive features that can be found in the JMC Grand Avenue are the cruise control, electronic stability program, hill-launch assist, hill-descent control, rollover mitigation, parking sensors and reverse distance display.

Further, all JMC Grand Avenue trims are fitted with dual front airbags and ISOFIX child-restraint anchors — with additional side and curtain airbags for the automatic transmission-fitted options.

Under the vehicle’s hood is a 2.3-liter, twin-cam, 16-valve, inline-four Puma turbodiesel engine that has the capacity to give as much as 175 horsepower and 450 Newton-meters of torque. The mill is either matched to a Magna six-speed manual rower or a ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox.

Its 4x4 variations feature the BorgWarner electronic four-wheel-drive system.

Per JMC Philippines, all its offerings are packaged with a five-year/150,000-kilometer warranty (whichever comes first), a lifetime engine warranty for total peace of mind and a free round-the-clock emergency roadside assistance for the first year.
