MG unveils 2 new concept cars at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026

MANILA: Morris Garages (MG) has revealed two new exciting concept vehicles at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026.

Making their global debuts at one of this year's most awaited annual automotive events were the MG Go! and Cyber Concept.

In a statement, the company said that the two new concept vehicles offer a glimpse into the marque’s design direction—merging its British automotive heritage and the latest advancements in electric vehicle technology.

“The two concept vehicles represent MG's vision for the next generation of mobility—one that blends distinctive design, intelligent technology, and engaging driving experiences. Together, they reinforce the brand's commitment to creating vehicles that are not only innovative and sustainable, but also emotionally appealing and accessible to a wider audience.”

Additionally, the brand’s participation in this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed underscores its ongoing transformation into a global leader in intelligent and electrified vehicles while remaining true to its sporting heritage.

The MG Go! is a compact all-electric hatchback concept that gives a sneak peek of an upcoming production model expected to be revealed next year.

Created by MG's London Design Center, the concept reinterprets the marque’s iconic elements and turns them into a modern electric vehicle, which is expected to be appreciated by the next generation of drivers.

Meanwhile, the MG Cyber Concept is a high-performance electric sport utility vehicle that features the brand’s sporting DNA and engineering legacy. Per MG, this demonstrates how electrification can be combined with dynamic performance, premium design, and everyday practicality.

“The vehicle reflects MG's broader ambition to expand its performance-oriented lineup beyond traditional sports cars while maintaining the engaging driving character the brand is known for,” the firm added.

Aside from the two, MG also showcased the following models:

• MG4 EV Urban
• HS Plug-in Hybrid
• ZS Hybrid+
• IM5
• Cyberster

"Great design begins with people, not products. Technology and innovation are essential, but they can be shared. Character cannot. The future of automotive design is about creating cars with a strong identity that people instantly recognize and emotionally connect with," MG Vice President of Global Design Jozef Kabaň was quoted as saying.

"Our MG concepts express this vision for the future of the brand."

Recently, MG’s local arm expanded its new energy vehicle roster with the addition lineup which include:

• RX9 PHEV
• MG4 Urban EV
