Mitsubishi Strada special edition to be unveiled soon

MANILA: It is not long before the 2019 Bangkok International Motor Show kicks-off. Adding to the excitement is the news coming from Japan. Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) has announced that the Japanese automaker will be unveiling a special edition of the pickup truck Strada (also called Triton in other markets) at the event. The manufacturer has also released an image featuring the pickup dipped in darkness.

This modified Strada will be completely different from the pickups we have ever seen by the manufacturer and will also be ‘Absolutely Beyond Tough’, said Mitsubishi. The automaker has also cited that the designers and engineers working of the modified pickup were let loose and given the freedom to do their thing. This, as a result, has given birth to an extraordinary version of the Strada.

As Mitsubishi has kept lips tight on the specifications, the image full of darkness is all we have to coin some information out of. The front fascia that is visible in the image reveals that the bumper and headlamps setup is going to be the factory setup, however, there is a new skid plate finished in red at the bottom.

Just like the Engleberg Tourer, this special Strada also features slim LED units mounted on the roof. There also seem to be a new suspension setup as the pickup in the image looks standing a tad taller. The grille seems to boast a blacked-out appearance, and the new tyres give an indication of an all-terrain ability making its way to the pickup.

With the 2019 Bangkok International Motor Show just around the corner, we should rest the speculations and wait patiently for Mitsubishi to pull the covers off the special edition Strada. Mitsubishi recently uncovered a mountain rescue version of the Strada, why not check that out too?
