Nissan PH honors Formula E season 11 win with Kicks e-Power Sakura

MANILA: Nissan Philippines has honored the brand’s championship win at the 11th season of Formula E by showcasing the Kicks e-Power Sakura - a unique build that highlights Japanese culture, sustainability, and the brand’s performance roots. 

The Nissan Kicks e-Power Sakura, which was recently displayed at the Nissan Intelligent Mobility Tour held in Bonifacio Global City, also has minute details that serve as a nod to the marque’s racing pedigree. 

One big example is the number 23 adorned on its hood and side doors. The number, formed by two (Ni) and three (San), forms the brand’s name. Beyond that, it has also been utilized by the Japanese carmaker’s iconic race cars from the Super GT to the Nissan Formula E car. 

Moreover, the body of this Nissan Kicks e-Power build is wrapped in white and red, while accented by images of cherry blossoms. The said graphics clearly show Nissan’s pride in its Japanese roots, while the fields of white and red mimic the colorway of the Japanese brand's Formula E contender.  

For its hardware, Nissan PH partnered up with Concept One to provide the Kicks e-Power Sakura with a set of Momo Revenge MBKPOL wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires. 

“Our victory in Formula E is a reflection of Nissan’s commitment to performance, precision, and resilience, values that define every vehicle we make,” President of Nissan Philippines Masao Tsutsumi said. 

“The Kicks e-Power Sakura is a visual tribute to brand’s motorsport legacy and it’s our way of showing how the same mindset that wins championships also drives the quality and spirit of the cars we bring to the road,” Tsutsumi added.

Nissan Kicks e-Power in PH

In the Philippine market, the Nissan Kicks e-Power currently has a price ranging from P1.179 million-P1.479 million. 

Propelling the model is an electric motor that is fed by a 2.13-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery. The said battery, on the other hand, is charged by a 1.2-liter inline-3 gasoline mill. 

At maximum, the said model can generate up to 134 horsepower and 280 Newton-meters of torque. Power is sent to its front wheels via an automatic single-speed gear reduction transmission.
