Only 500 units of the BMW X7 M50i Dark Shadow Edition will be made

MANILA: BMW has given the X7 its very first Dark Shadow Edition model and, to show just how exclusive this is, only 500 will ever be made and as an example of how limited it is, only 10 units are going to the UK.

The BMW X7 Dark Shadow Edition will be made in the US and will only be implemented on the range-topping M50i trim, which uses an N63 twin-turbo, eight-cylinder engine to deliver 530hp.

Its most visible feature is the BMW Individual Frozen Arctic Grey metallic paint finish that now comes in an X model for the first time. That’s complemented by the BMW Individual High Gloss Shadow Line exterior finish that gives the kidney grille, air breathers, and tailpipes a glossy black finish. Creating some contrast are matte shimmering surfaces like the roof rail and the sun protection glazing on the body.

As an M trim, it gets the M spots package as standard equipment including the 22-inch M light alloy wheels in V-spoke design with a Jet Black matte finish and the M sports exhaust system.

The cabin uses full Merino leather in Night Blue/Black with contrasting seams, Night Blue Alcantara headlining and Night Blue leather instrument panel. Black Merino leather is used in the lower section of the instrument panel and on the front backrests. The center console sports a BMW Individual interior trim finisher in Piano Black finish bearing the Edition logo. Infotainment system is powered by Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround sound system and the all seats come with massage functionality.
