Toyota Hilux gets a badass look with Wald Sports Line Black Bison Edition

MANILA: Toyota Hilux is one of the more popular pickups on our roads. But this workhorse goes beyond its commercial, utilitarian purpose. Some buyers do use it for personal adventures because of its power and dependability. And for avid pickup users, customizing Hilux will make it stand out from the crowd. And if you truly want your Hilux to be a head-turner, the Japanese tuner Wald International recently released an extensive body kit—the Sports Line Black Bison Edition that will give your pickup truck a more aggressive look and improve off-roading performance.

The WALD International Bodykit Sports Line Black Bison Edition comes with a newly developed apron with large air intakes. A pair of four LED lamps can be installed to the intakes as an added option. There is also a silver skid plate for underride protection. The Apron is matched with a new hood with a bug shield and huge Powerdome (Bonnet Scoop Cover) typically found in much larger vehicles like the Dodge Ram or the Ford F-150.

The body kit also includes new over-fenders that give the Hilux a domineering vibe. The fender flares add an extra 55 mm per side, allowing larger and wider wheels and tires to be fitted. The sides are accented with new running boards for easy boarding. At the rear, there is a three-piece spoiler lip for the tailgate while the trims were also modified and are made to be sturdier than those from the series to match the bold look of the front.

Expect to shell out at least Php 260k for the Hilux’s Sports Line Black Bison Edition body kit. And we say at least because the price does not include the rims (20” Wald Jarret costs Php 36,000 per piece while the 22” costs Php 50,500 a piece) and to have off-road tires on them too. Also, the triple side exit exhaust and roof attachment with additional lights and mirror caps—prices for both will be announced on a later date, also comes separately.
