Volvo PH rolls out video series highlighting owners’ stories

MANILA: Volvo Cars Philippines has rolled out a video series titled Volvo’s First, where the stories of owners are highlighted beyond the engineering excellence the brand is known for.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Where can Volvo fans watch the series?

Per Volvo Cars Philippines, the series is available in its social media channels.
  • What vehicles were featured in the first episode?

The first episode featured what appears to be a Volvo S90 sedan and a C30 T5 hatchback.
  • According to Hariphil Asia Resources, Incorporated (HARI) — the official distributor of Volvo Cars in the Philippines — Volvo’s First is a celebration of individuals whose journeys are shaped by family, tradition, and ambition.

Journeys, HARI pointed out, that were marked by the Swedish carmaker’s unwavering commitment to protecting lives.

“Volvo owners are a class all their own. They understand what it means to be truly alive. They live with intent, valuing authenticity over fleeting trends. For them, safety is not just a priority but a conscious choice that fuels their confidence, freedom, and joy every single day,” HARI Vice Chair, President, and Chief Executive Officer Maria Fe Perez-Agudo said in a press release.

The series is Volvo Philippines’ next major salvo under the Being Alive campaign, which is a call to embrace shared responsibility for safer roads.

“These stories resonate because they reflect the way we live — where the protection of what matters most is seamlessly woven into the way we move through life,” Agudo adds.

    Drive for dad

The first episode of the series seems fitting for the upcoming Father’s Day.

Under the spotlight is an entrepreneur honoring his father’s legacy by driving Volvo cars.

Metal fabricator and house designer Harvey Angsanto recalled the time he and his dad were called by Volvo for a Father’s Day issue shot.

“It was a happy day for us,” Angsanto noted.

“My dad and my best friend,” he added.

In the video, he is shown to be driving a what appears to be a Volvo S90 sedan and a C30 T5 hatchback.

    Future episodes

While the schedule of video posting was not mentioned, HARI stated that the next videos will feature “a retiree savoring the freedom of her dream car,” “a passionate gearhead preserving a storied classic,” and “a filmmaker finding inspiration on the road.”

The abovementioned videos, like the first installment of the series, will be available on Volvo Cars Philippines’ social media channels.
