Welcome the 2019 Porsche Macan S

MANILA: Porsche had already unveiled the 2019 Macan in the month of July, earlier this year. However, in the bid to extend the line-up further, the German auto giant has introduced the Macan S variant.

The new 2019 Macan released in July come with slight yet significant updates like a 10.9-inch infotainment system, LED headlamps, revised air intakes, redesigned taillights, and new paint schemes. The 2019 Porsche Macan then unveiled was powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-pot motor. And now, the newly launched Macan S features a 3.0-litre V6 engine. The SUV has done away with the previously used twin-turbo V6 and also comes with updated chassis and handling performance.

The 3.0-litre turbocharged mill powering is the 2019 Macan S is the same which has been found in the likes of Panamera, Cayenne and Cayenne E-Hybrid models. On the new engine, there is a single twin-scroll turbocharger instead of the twin turbo system that was seen on the ditched V6. The power figures read a 353 PS of maximum power and a peak torque of 480 Nm. Thus, the 2019 Macan S has 13 PS and 20 Nm more than the previous version. With a top speed of over 250 kmph, give the Macan S some space and it will reach from 0 - 97 kmph in 5.1 seconds.

Other updates on the 2019 Porsche Macan S include retuned anti-roll bars, aluminium strut forks at the front, larger (+10 mm) & thicker (+2 mm) brake rotors and a lighter (-300 gm) brake pedal. Porsche claims that all these updates will make the SUV lighter, improve its handling, and also provide with a much better braking power. If you need more braking power, you can opt for the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) as well.

The all-new 2019 Porsche Macan S will be hitting the showrooms across the globe in the second quarter (Q2) of 2019.
