Suzuki Intruder 150 unveiled in the Philippines

MANILA: At the recently concluded Makina Moto Show, Suzuki Philippines surprised one and all by unveiling its modern cruiser Intruder 150. Inspired by the bigger Intruder and the VS, the Suzuki Intruder 150 brings the cruiser styling and comfort with a much affordable price tag. Mechanically, the Suzuki Intruder 150 is identical to the Gixxer 150 as the modern cruiser gets both of its frame and engine from the naked streetfighter sibling. Hence, people looking for Gixxer’s quality, comfort, and refinement in a cruiser attire, the Suzuki Intruder 150 is the motorcycle they want.

The fuel-injected 155cc engine that is said to power the Suzuki Intruder 150 makes 14.8 PS of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14 Nm at 6,000 rpm. A five-speed transmission takes care of delivering the power to the rear wheel. Some notable features worth mentioning include disc brakes at both front and rear, 11-litre fuel tank, electric starter, red illuminated instrument cluster, LED taillight, rear pillion back cushion, and twin side exhausts.

It is not clear yet whether or not Suzuki Philippines will offer the Intruder 150 with ABS. Moreover, something else that remains unknown is, even if Suzuki Intruder 150 gets ABS, will it be a single channel unit or a dual-channel setup? Suzuki Philippines is still analysing the public interest regarding the Intruder 150 before launching the modern cruiser in the country.
