Yamaha Motor PH launches all-new Aerox

MANILA: Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMPH) has launched the latest version of the Aerox in the country.

Unveiled at the Yamaha Motorshow 2025, the automatic transmission motorcycle’s newest generation was made sportier, thanks to the updates on its design and track-inspired features.

In a statement, YMPH shared that the all-new Yamaha Aerox lives on its “Fast Never Looks Back” slogan and is created for those who “move first and never check the rearview.”

“From the first twist of the throttle, this motorcycle brings more than motion. It brings momentum. Built for riders who set the pace, it merges supersport DNA with everyday mobility. Sharp styling, advanced tech, and instant response make every ride a statement,” the firm added.

Here are the notable bits of information about YMPH's latest  product.

On paper, the all-new Yamaha Aerox comes with the following measurements:

 Its distinct body lines and extended front fascia give the motorcycle a fiercer look — resembling that of the Yamaha XMAX. It sits on wide 14-inch tires for both front and rear.

Powering the all-new Yamaha Aerox is the updated liquid-cooled, four-stroke, four-pot single overhead cam, single-cylinder, fuel-injected,155 cubic-centimeter Blue Core engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) that can give out peak churns of:

Maximum output (in horsepower)	15.1
Peak torque (in Newton-meters)	14.2

Its top-level option became more agile as it has been equipped with the Yamaha Electric CVT (Y-ECVT) technology (similarly seen in the NMAX Techmax, which made its local debut last March). This part gives the two-wheeler a three-level downshift control for a more precise handling.

Such a combination allows the all-new Yamaha Aerox reach speeds of up to 110 kilometers per hour (based on the homologation records from the Land Transportation Office).

Aside from that, the all-new Aerox offers Selectable Sport and Touring Modes that adapt power delivery for either dynamic sprints or relaxed urban rides.

Complementing the powertrain are the upgraded suspension system (upgraded 30-mm inner tube front fork and rear sub-tank), as well as the refreshed braking system (single-channel anti-lock braking system and new rear disc brake).

Among the features slapped on the top-tier version is the 4.2-inch thin-film transistor full color display that can show:

• Lap tracking
• Commute data
• Animated RPM (revolutions per minute) waveforms
• Integrated turn-by-turn navigation through Google Maps, real-time fuel consumption, engine diagnostics, maintenance reminders, and even the last parked location (enabled via Yamaha’s Y-Connect app)

Among the standard and optional features that the all-new Yamaha Aerox offers are the following:

• Yamaha Stop and Start System
• 5.5-liter fuel tank
• 24.5-liter underseat storage
• Built-in USB-C socket
• Yamaha R-Series inspired cockpit
