The BYD eMAX 7 has a price ranging from P1.748 million-P1.498 million. What is the price of the VinFast Limo Green?
The VinFast Limo Green retails at P1.099 million with a battery subscription, and at P1.399 million without. The aforementioned, of course, includes multi-purpose vehicles (MPV) - a popular choice for most Filipinos since they offer three-row seating that are suited well for ferrying around one’s family, relatives, and friends/co-workers. Some even utilize these vehicles as logistics platforms or as the basis of a transport business.
On that note, BYD Cars Philippines has been selling the eMAX 7 in 2025. It is the brand’s more affordable three-row models, while boasting the punchy instantaneous torque that we can expect from any EV.
In 2026, however, VinFast Philippines already previewed its upcoming all-electric MPV offering: the Limo Green.
So, how do the BYD eMAX 7's specs and features compare to the VinFast Limo Green? Let’s find out here.
Powertrain
To begin this comparison, let’s talk about these two all-electric MPV’s powertrains.
For the top-spec BYD eMAX 7 Superior Captain, it uses a single permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) paired with a lithium iron phosphate battery. At maximum, the said motor can generate up to 201 horsepower (hp) and 310 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. It also has a range of 530 kilometers (km) and a Type 2/CCS2 charging port that can charge from 30-80 percent in just 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, the VinFast Limo Green also gets a single PMSM and a lithium-ion battery pack. At maximum, this setup can churn out 201 hp and 280 Nm of torque. It also has a range of 450 km, and a Type 2/CCS2 that is able to increase its state-of-charge from 10-70 percent in just 30 minutes.
Both vehicles come with a front-wheel-drive (FWD) layout and other familiar EV features. Specifically, the features common between the two nameplates include regenerative braking, a portable charger, and a vehicle-to-load (V2L) system.
Also common between the two is a MacPherson strut front suspension and a rear multi-link suspension. Both the BYD eMAX 7 and the VinFast Limo Green use disc brakes on all four wheels.
Exterior
Appearance-wise, the BYD eMAX 7 and VinFast Limo Green both wear the familiar one-box MPV shape. The two have high roofs with relatively tall window lines, a long body, and modest hood sections.
The two get LED exterior lighting fixtures, a roof-mounted spoiler, power-adjustable side mirrors, and large doors for easy ingress and egress.
Meanwhile, the VinFast-made model comes with 18-inch wheels, which are slightly larger than the BYD MPV’s 17-inch wheels. On the flip-side, the BYD has several exterior amenities that are absent from the VinFast. The aforementioned features include power-folding side mirrors, a power tailgate, rear fog lamps, a panoramic sunroof, and automatic headlamp control.

Interior
Inside the BYD eMAX 7 and the VinFast Limo Green, there are modern cabins with three rows of seats. The VinFast model can seat up to seven occupants, while the BYD eMAX 7 Superior Captain can accommodate up to six.
To note, the top-spec BYD MPV comes with second-row captain seats, which provide extra comfort and ease of use through their power-adjustability and built-in ventilation systems. In comparison, the VinFast Limo Green’s second row is a far simpler bench seat. Both models, however, do have second-row armrests and air-conditioning vents.
Additionally, both models get automatic climate controls, folding third row seats. With their rearmost row folded down, the BYD eMAX 7 can fit up to 580 liters, while the VinFast Limo Green can swallow up to 607 liters.
Be aware, however, that the top-spec BYD eMAX 7’s captain seats cannot be folded, so it compromises on a flat and spacious space for large objects. This isn’t the case for the VinFast Limo Green, which can fit up to 1,245 liters with the second and third rows down.
Style-wise, however, the BYD eMAX 7 comes with more eye candy courtesy of its textured leather upholstery, polished metallic interior trims, and faux-wood fitments. The VinFast Limo Green, meanwhile, opts for a more Spartan interior with all-black fabric seats and a significant number of black plastic interior parts.
For their driver amenities, the two get front cabin armrests, flat-bottom steering wheels, and electronic parking brake systems. Only the BYD eMAX 7 gets a dedicated digital gauge cluster and power-adjustable front seats.
Speaking of screens, the BYD nameplate has a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The said screen is linked to a six-piece speaker set, and it also has 4G connectivity, a voice assistant, and the BYD cloud service. Charging devices inside the vehicle is done easily thanks to a wireless smartphone charging pad and several USB ports.
Meanwhile, the VinFast model has a 10-inch display with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. It also has USB ports and a four-piece speaker set.
On that note, the BYD MPV does get a more advanced infotainment system compared to the VinFast nameplate. It also has more driver tools and more ways to charge phones/devices.
Other amenities present inside the BYD eMAX 7 Superior Captain that’s not available on the VinFast Limo Green include, but are not limited to:
- Ambient lighting
- NFC card reader
- Coat hanger
Safety
Concerning safety, both get anti-lock braking, dual front airbags, ISOFIX, a rear-view parking camera, stability control, traction control, and tire pressure monitoring. The BYD model adds on to those with its 360-degree view camera and a vehicle dynamic control system.
Moreover, the BYD nameplate comes with a suite of advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS), which are absent on the VinFast unit. These ADAS components include:
- Adaptive cruise control (Superior Captain)
- Lane-keep assist
- Automatic emergency braking
- Lane departure assist
- Blind spot detection
- Predictive collision warning
- Rear collision warning
- Rear-cross traffic alert
- Rear-cross traffic braking
- Door open warning
Conclusion
In terms of power and range, the BYD eMAX 7 and VinFast Limo Green are just about on par with each other.
The Vietnamese-branded MPV, however, does one-up the Chinese offering in terms of body-size, and this could hint at more interior room. This, of course, tracks (at least with the eMAX 7 Superior Captain), when it comes to maximum cargo space.
We cannot, however, deny the sheer number of technologies, creature comforts, and advanced safety gear present on the BYD eMAX 7. It is a feature-complete car and can be described as “luxurious,” especially compared to the more basic VinFast Limo Green.
Despite this comparison, pitting the BYD eMAX 7 against the VinFast Limo Green is hard, as they target vastly different markets. This, of course, is evident from their pricing.
For reference, the BYD eMAX 7 has a price ranging from P1.748 million-P1.498 million. Compare that to the VinFast Limo Green, which starts at P1.099 million if bought with a battery subscription.
So, even with the base model BYD eMAX 7 Standard, the model is P390,000 more expensive. The aforementioned difference, of course, is justified by the BYD nameplate’s feature set, which we already covered above.
Which one’s your pick? Are you the type who likes the cushier BYD eMAX 7, or the more basic but also highly capable VinFast Limo Green?
