These are the BMW iX1's 6 fabulous hues

The BMW iX2 eDrive 20 XLine, which is now available in the Philippines, strikes a good balance between performance and comfort.

For starters, its all-electric powertrain can produce up to 204 horsepower and 247 Newton-meters of torque. Thanks to its output, BMW says the electric vehicle (EV) luxury model can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 8.6 seconds.

In addition, the EV Bimmer also has a decent estimated range of 430-473 kilometers. 

Inside, the iX1 gets plenty of creature comforts. It comes standard with leather upholstery, lots of soft-touch surfaces, automatic air-conditioning, and the BMW Widescreen Display.

The model’s widescreen consists of a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster linked seamlessly to a 10.7-inch infotainment screen. It also has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as the BMW Operating System 9. 

The iX1 also has a comprehensive advanced driver-assist system suite to ensure safety and peace of mind. 

All of the aforementioned qualities may make it attractive to luxury car buyers. It is also a reasonably priced model, which currently retails at P3.99 million.

However, the said model has a total of six exterior color options. So, which color should you get for the iX1, and how does its color option affect its styling and feel? Let’s find out.

Mineral White

Mineral White is the brightest color option of the iX1. As such, the said color will make the model’s dark-colored details on its claddings, grille, and bumpers more visible. 

Mineral White likewise makes the vehicle appear elegant, but the popularity of white in the Philippine market will also make the car blend in better in traffic. 

Black Sapphire

The polar opposite of Mineral White is Black Sapphire. It is the darkest color in the iX1’s exterior paint options, so it provides the vehicle with a stealthy look. It also enhances the style of the vehicle by making its chrome bits more visible. 

In low-light situations, however, Black Sapphire may make the vehicle less visible to the naked eye. Thankfully, the said model gets a set of sufficiently bright exterior LED lighting fixtures, which makes it easier to pick out in fog or heavy rain. 

Space Silver

Space Silver is one of the more neutral colors available to the BMW iX1. It is inoffensive and understated, but it also enhances the ride by making its silhouette more apparent to the naked eye. 

In addition, the said silver hue can be good at hiding paint imperfections and minute scratches and dings. Similar to white, though, it is a popular exterior paint option, so expect it to make the iX1 less noticeable amongst a sea of other vehicles on the road. 

Phytonic Blue

Phytonic Blue is one of the brightest and liveliest color options for the iX1, as it is presented as a dark, rich tint reminiscent of the deep ocean. 

As a result, an example of the BMW model clad in the aforementioned color looks relaxing but full of energy. Interestingly, this type of blue is the same hue often associated with EVs, making it a very appropriate option for the emissions-free iX1. 

San Remo Green

San Remo Green is a dark type of green hue. It is the kind of green that reminds one of wild rainforests, trees, or moss. So, if you’re the type of person who is in tune with the outdoors, this color for the iX1 might be the one for you. 

Other than providing the BMW model with an outdoorsy vibe, it also highlights its chrome decorative pieces. 

Do note, however, that taking care of this paint option can be difficult for a newbie. It is not forgiving when it comes to scratches, and it needs regular and proper application of car wax and other protective materials. 

Cape York Green

For folks who do not want the intensity of San Remo Green, there’s Cape York Green. It still evokes images of nature, but it comes in a less intense, near pastel-like shade. 

The said color is youthful, and it will make the dark decorative parts and chrome bits of the car more visible to onlookers.
