2 Lynk & Co PH entries score high mileage readings at 2025 DOE-Petron Fuel Eco run

MANILA: Two of Lynk & Co Philippines’ entries at the 2025 Department of Energy (DOE)-Petron Fuel Economy Run showed high fuel efficiency numbers.

In a statement, the United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated’s (UAAGI)-led distributor shared that the 01 and 02 was able to clock in numbers not lower than 58 kilometers per liter of gasoline equivalent after being driven in a designated 156-kilometer (km) stretch of the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX) in September 24 last year.

Per Lynk & Co Philippines, the Lynk & Co 01 bested other brands in the plug-in hybrid category after it had 58.06 km/Lge. The figure, the firm claimed, showcases the vehicle's ability to maximize its electrified powertrain under real-world expressway conditions.

It also noted that the vehicle offers a total hybrid driving range of 800 kms, which provides “a practical solution for long-distance travel without the constraints of charging infrastructure” and comes with three drive modes namely Pure EV, Hybrid, and Standard ICE.

 

Furthermore, the Lynk & Co 01 boasts a five-star safety rating from the European New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP).

Meanwhile, the Lynk & Co 02 scored 71.71 km/Lge in the battery electric division.

The full-electric model crossover is capable of letting drivers cover a fumes-free range of 435 kms on a single charge. Significantly aiding in its energy efficiency is its aerodynamic design that gives the vehicle a 0.25 drag coefficient (Cd).

Just like the 01, the Lynk & Co 02 also received the highest rating in Euro NCAP.

Aside from the Geely-owned marque, around 70 vehicles took part in the fuel economy run that commenced at Petron TPLEX Northbound, proceeded to the Rosario, La Union rotunda, and concluded at Petron TPLEX Southbound.

The data gathered serves as a transparent benchmark for consumers, highlighting the role of advanced vehicle technologies in fostering a more sustainable and energy-efficient transport landscape.
