2016 Toyota Innova is New in Ten Ways

MANILA: Safety, reliability, precision, and excellence, all these words come to mind when you hear the name TOYOTA. Yes, a prominent Japanese auto brand has made an incredible success all over the world with its vehicles, and therefore Philippines is no exception. Rather Filipinos are big fans of Toyota vehicles and therefore the news that the brand is coming up with its 2016 Innova, a multi-purpose vehicle has raised a lot of eyes and ears to read and hear more about it. So, the things which are new in the 2016 Innova are-

1. The new Innova is larger than the current model, measuring 4735 mm long, 1830 mm wide, and 1795 mm tall. The wheelbase is the same i.e. 2750 mm. The present model dimensions read as 4585 mm X 1765 mm X 1760 mm (L X W X H).
2. The present variants, V, G, E, J are now limited to just three, namely 2016 Innova G (Grande), V (Victory), and Q (Quantum). The features definitely vary according to variants.
3. A new diesel engine will be housed in the next generation Innova. The current model envelops a 2.5-litre mill while the upcoming model will be powered by a 2.4-litre GD turbo diesel plant producing 145 bhp and 343 Nm of torque.
4. With engine the transmission option is also new. The new Innova will be equipped with a 6-speed automatic gearbox and the old 5-speed manual cogs should be continued as well.
5. The old 15- inch alloy wheels are now replaced by shiny, smart and bigger 16-inch alloys as standard in all three variants.

   

6. The exterior highlights of new Innova include a big hexagonal grill with two thick chrome slats which give it an overall aggressive and different look.
7. The side profile is also worked upon with enhanced sculpted lines and the brightness is paid attention with LED daytime running lamps integrated well in the headlamp.
8. The interiors are refreshed with sleeker dual-tone dashboard and chrome accents for both G and V variants while the Q variant receives elegant wood finishes.
9. The 8-inch advanced entertainment system with voice command recognition, Blue-tooth, AUX, and SD card support is the biggest worth for money feature. The WIFI and HDMI inputs are also expected in higher variant.
10. Last but not the least, the tenth point is the safety. The Hill Assist Control and Stability Control feature are new and standard in all three variants of 2016 Innova. Moreover, the higher variant will get 7 airbags for utmost safety of occupants.
