Chery PH posts 47.5% YoY growth in 2026

MANILA: Chery Auto Philippines has recorded a year-over-year growth of 47.5 percent in 2026, citing the growing demand for electrified mobility as one of the driving factors for its improved sales. 

According to the United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated (UAAGI)-led Chinese car brand, consumers increasingly shifted toward fuel-efficient solutions, such as hybrids and battery-electric vehicles. 

“The latest January to April 2026 CAMPI-TMA industry report shows that Chery Auto Philippines emerged as one of the market’s high-growth performers, benefiting from its strategic focus on plug-in hybrid vehicle technology that directly addresses consumers’ growing demand for fuel-efficient transportation,” the company wrote in a press release.

Chery Tiggo rEV leads 2026 sales 

As such, Chery Auto Philippines’ January to April 2026 performance reflected sustained sales for the marque’s seven-seater sport utility vehicles (SUV), the Tiggo rEV (range-extended vehicle). 

Per the local wing of the Wuhu-headquartered car manufacturer, the said model accounted for 57 percent of its total year-to-date sales. 

“The current market environment has accelerated consumer interest in practical, value-driven mobility solutions,” Chery Auto Philippines Brand Head Franz Decloedt said.
