Chevy launches all-new Tracker SUV, awards dealer 'Grandmasters'

MANILA: The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCI), the exclusive distributor of Chevrolet automobiles in the Philippines, officially launched the all-new Chevrolet Tracker through a virtual event last June 29. The Tracker is the brand’s newest contender in the highly competitive local crossover SUV segment.

In a statement, Chevrolet Philippines President and Chief Executive Officer Atty. Albert Arcilla said, “The launch of the all-new Chevrolet Tracker marks a very exciting time for Chevrolet Philippines as we introduce a new generation of models that will further invigorate and strengthen the Chevy brand in the Philippine market.”

The Tracker offers fuel efficiency, contemporary style, smart connectivity, superior engine technology, advanced safety, and commodious cargo space. It also comes with premium comfort and convenience features.

The Chevrolet Tracker is the first model in the lineup of the brand’s new global portfolio that will be launched in the Philippine market.

TCCCI also acknowledged the 2020 Chevrolet Grandmasters for Best in Sales, Best in Service, and Dealer of the Year during the virtual event.

Chevrolet Cebu Mandaue was hailed as the Grandmasters for Best in Service. It is led by Genesis Motors Corporation President and Chief Executive Officer Franklin Ong and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Emily Ong.

Meanwhile, Chevrolet Iloilo was named as the Grandmasters for Best in Sales and Dealer of the Year. It is spearheaded by Grandcars, Inc. Chairman Peter Po, President Jan Andrew Po, and Comptroller Caroline Po. The dealership holds the two awards for three consecutive years.

“Our dealers have been instrumental in our drive to find new roads and build a customer-oriented dealer network in the country. We are grateful to have dedicated dealer partners who have done a remarkable job in calibrating their business operations during a very challenging 2020 to ensure that Chevrolet customers are given the best quality service expected from the Chevy brand,” Arcilla added.
