Euro 4 complaint Mitsubishi L300 may cost around Php 735,000

MANILA: The L300 was one of the best sellers for Mitsubishi in the Philippines, albeit only until the Euro 4 norms hit the automobile industry. In 2017, which was the last when the Japanese automaker sold the L300 in the country, the van attracted 14,634 sales over the year. As a matter of fact,

Mitsubishi sold L300 in the cab-chassis form, and then FB body builders listened to the needs of the customers and provided them with the final product. Ever since the L300 has been discontinued, the Filipinos have been waiting eagerly for the van to make a return in a Euro 4 complaint form. And guess what? The automaker was always listening to us. The Euro 4 complaint L300 will finally make a return to the Philippine market by the end of 2019.

 

Mr Mutsuhiro Oshikiri, who is the Mitsubishi Motors Philippines CEO, has cleared that the updated and Euro 4 complaint L300 will be offered in a single Exceed cab-chassis format with the Deluxe cab-chassis model being ditched in the next-generation. Also, the van will continue to come with optional air-conditioning.

Moreover, Centro and Almazora will also keep entertaining the customers with their choice of bodies. The MMPC CEO also made a comment on the pricing of the updated van, stating that while the price is not finalised yet, we expect the Euro 4 complaint L300 to be priced about Php 100,000 more than the last-gen model.

Therefore, as the Euro 2 L300 carried a price tag of Php 635,000, the Euro 4 L300 should be priced around the Php 735,000 mark. In case you’re wondering why the price will increase, it is because of the money and time Mitsubishi has invested in modifying the L300 in way that it could accept a Euro 4 complaint powertrain that consists a 4N14 motor.
