Ford boosts Explorer’s availability in PH

MANILA: Ford Philippines has bolstered the availability of the Explorer across its dealerships nationwide.

According to the Blue Oval marque’s distributor in the country, buyers may opt to reserve their midsize sport utility vehicle (SUV) via its reservation portal.

Ford Philippines Managing Director Michael Allen Breen expressed pride over the Explorer’s ramped-up availability.

“We are excited to share that the Explorer is now available to more customers, especially those who are looking for a spacious and sophisticated SUV. The Explorer is an important product in our SUV line-up, and we look forward to seeing more Filipino families experience its performance, comfort and capability,” he said.

Powering the Ford Explorer is the 2.3-liter EcoBoost Engine that can deliver a maximum output of nearly 300 horses and 420 Newton-meters of torque. Ensuring the smooth delivery of power is its 10-speed automatic gearbox.

The vehicle also features a four-wheel-drive and terrain management system which gives the driver an option to switch to seven selectable driving modes: Normal, Sport, Eco, Slippery, Deep Snow/Sand, Tow/Haul and Trail.

Inside and out, the Ford Explorer guarantees elegance.

For its exterior, the SUV comes with bold lines and sweeping contours, matched by the 20-inch aluminum wheels.

Inside, all seven occupants will get to enjoy comfortable perforated leather seats (heat and ventilated versions for driver and front passenger), acoustic windshield and new dual-wall dashboard between the engine and cabin (to ensure quietness), multi-color ambient lighting, illuminated vanity mirrors and full center console with armrest and storage bin.

It also has a twin-panel moonroof, remote start system, tri-zone electronic automatic temperature control, power windows and power door locks, cupholders and bottle holders, second-row sunblinds, among many others.

For elevated convenience, the Ford Explorer is outfitted with a center stack that has a wireless charging dock positioned conveniently in front of the center console armrests and an eight-inch color touchscreen with Sync 3 voice-activated technology that is mated to a 12-speaker Bang and Olufsen sound set-up.

The Explorer is also equipped with host of intuitive driver-assist technologies and safety features under the Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+ Technology that includes pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert, lane keep system, auto high-beam headlamps, adaptive cruise control, evasive steering assist, and reverse braking assist.

Customers may also unlock the vehicle without the use of a key or remote using the Securicode keyless-entry keypad located on the driver side door.

Ford Philippines also said that customers who acquired an Explorer since the start of the year will also automatically receive a Peace of Mind and Free Labor package — a complimentary vehicle inspection service after two months or 2,000 kilometers (whichever comes first) — as well as two free labor on periodic maintenance schedule services, as part of the brand’s commitment to enhance the ownership experience.
