Ford PH sales up by 57% in first 9 months of 2021

MANILA: Ford Philippines has reported that the brand’s total sales in the country for the first nine months of 2021 reached 14,704 units, which is 57% higher than last year.

The Ford Ranger led the brand’s sales growth with 6,695 units, with the Ranger Raptor helping maintain Ford’s leadership in the 4x4 pickup segment with 38% market share.

The Ford Territory also remained to be one of the brand’s best-sellers in the country, with 4,993 units sold. It was able to maintain its dominance in the small SUV segment with an imposing 58% market share.

In a statement, Ford Philippines Managing Director Michael Breen said, “The popularity of the Ford Ranger and the Ford Territory among Filipino customers continued to reflect in our overall vehicle sales, and with that, we are thankful to our dealers and customers for their trust to the Ford brand.”

In the third quarter of 2021, Ford Philippines was able to move a total of 4,849 units, which is 21% higher versus the same period last year. The strong sales performance in the recent quarter was led by the Ranger with 2,180 units sold and the Territory with 1,669 units sold.

Ford was also able to achieve milestones in terms of retail performance last September, which was recorded as the brand’s best retail month in 2021 with 1,783 units sold, 15% higher than last year. The Territory also achieved its best retail month in September with 742 units sold.

“We are optimistic that we will end the year on a high note as we commit to creating must-have products and services and finding ways to enhance the Ford ownership experience by treating our customers like family,” Breen added.

Ford Philippines has also recently inked a partnership with the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) to expand its network of banking partners for customers, making car purchase and ownership experience easier and more convenient through BPI’s extensive range of flexible auto loans and financing options.

Ford also offers huge cash discounts on the Ranger and Everest this October. Customers can enjoy a P100,000 discount on Ranger 2.0L FX4 Max 4x4 AT and Ranger 2.2L XLT 4x2 AT. Meanwhile, the Ranger 2.2L XLS 4x2 MT can be bought with a P9,888 low monthly payment or P48,000 all-in low down payment.

Customers can also take advantage of the P100,000 cash discount offered on the Everest 2.0L Sport 4x2 AT. This Everest variant can also be acquired with a P18,088 low monthly fee or P158,000 all-in low down payment.
