Ford Ranger delivers an all-time record quarterly performance

MANILA: Ever since its arrival on the Philippine shores, the Ford Ranger has been one of the best-selling pickup trucks in the country. With the passage of time, the popularity of the Ranger has only increased. Recent testament of the fact is the sales number achieved by the American pickup in the Philippine automobile market. In the quarterly sales report released by Ford for the Q2 of 2019, we find that the automaker managed to trade 5,667 units across the country during the mentioned period.

As it’s evident from the title of the story, the Ranger came on top as the best-selling vehicle for Ford with 3,694 sales during the period, which is an increase of 25% when compared to the sales during the same period last year. The year-to-date sales numbers of the pickup also rose by 25% and reached 6,836. “The Ranger remains one of the country’s most preferred pickup trucks, and continues to set the benchmark for the segment with its versatility, capability, power, and class-leading driver-assist technologies”, cited Ford Philippines’ managing director PK Umashankar.

The next most-selling vehicle for Ford during the second quarter of 2019 in the Philippines was the Everest SUV with 1,274 trades. Thanks to the high sales, the year-to-date sales figures of the Everest reached 2,919. With 487 trades, the Ford EcoSport was the third most selling Ford vehicle in the Philippines. 1,020 trades are where the year-to-date sales stand for the Ford EcoSport.

All three of the Explorer, Expedition, and Mustang managed to find 212 homes in total during the Q2 of 2019.
