Hidilyn Diaz, Carlo Paalam receive brand-new CV units from Foton PH

MANILA: Foton Motor Philippines, Inc. (FMPI) gifted brand-new commercial vehicle units to 2020 Tokyo Olympic medalists Hidilyn Diaz and Carlo Paalam as a reward for their utmost dedication in bringing recognition to the country.

In a turnover ceremony held at the Windy Ridge Hotel in Tagaytay City, FMPI President Rommel Sytin handed over the Foton vehicle units to the two athletes. The event was also graced by Senator Francis Tolentino, Philippine Olympic Committee President Cong. Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, and UAAGI Vice Chairman Kenneth Sytin.

In a statement, Rommel Sytin said, “As Hidilyn lifted the 127 kilograms that set a new world record and brought home the gold, and as Carlo boxed his way to an Olympic silver, the entire Philippines was also lifted to a level that has never before been reached. Now, allow us to be the ones to protect and carry you through our Foton TransVan and Gratour MT.”

FMPI awarded Diaz, the Philippines’ first ever Olympic gold medalist, with a unit of Foton TransVan 13-seater. According to Diaz, the van will be used in her tours and training sessions. It will also be utilized for family trips and for her team’s athletic training and drives.

Meanwhile, Olympic silver medalist Paalam received a brand-new Foton Gratour MPV 16-seater. According to the boxer, the vehicle will be used for his family’s business in their province.

The Gratour MT 16-seater features cargo-convertible seats that are designed to help the vehicle accommodate loads of deliverables, products, or parcels with its 1.2-ton payload capacity. With its flexibility and reliability, the MPV is ideal for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

“We are aware of how essential transportation is, especially now in the time of the pandemic. Not everyone is granted wheels that can safely and comfortably bring you from Point A to Point B.
