“The latest Honda Civic impressed every one of our members with its smart new appearance, great practicality and excellent hybrid engine,” Association of Scottish Motoring Writers President Jack McKeown stated. “Good fuel economy is more important than ever and we found the Civic to be extremely efficient. Add in Honda’s superb reliability and you have a car that is a more than worthy winner of the Scottish Car of the Year title.”

Another big winner is Kia, which received the Best Family SUV and Best Fully Hybrid awards for the Kia Sportage and the Best Electric Vehicle over £40,000 award for the Kia EV6.
The Best Luxury SUV award was given to the all-new Land Rover Range Rover.
The MG4 bagged the Best Electric Vehicle under £40,000 title, while the Mazda CX-60 was named the Best Plug-in Hybrid.
The SsangYong Musso was hailed as the best in the Utility/4x4 category.
The Scottish Used Car of the Year award went to the BMW 5 Series, a luxury sedan with impressive capabilities that make it a good choice even as a second-hand.
