Hyundai Philippines launches the all-new Santa Fe at MIAS 2018

MANILA: Hyundai Philippines has revealed the all-new fourth generation Santa Fe at the 2018 Manila Auto Show besides the Hyundai Kona. The Santa Fe has been one of the most popular models from Hyundai in the Philippines, which is helping the South Korean manufacturer to gain some good share in the local SUV market.

The new 4th-generation Santa Fe gets a more upmarket design, inspired by that of Kona and Nexo. The stacked headlight design is gradually getting mainstream. The slim LED lights get composite lights below them. The front grille gets creases on its top half while the lower half features a down-sweeping Y. The side profiles also get a number of character lines while the rear quarter panel gets a wider-looking stance.

You can see unique tail lights at the rear with creases on the tailgate. The rear reflectors come integrated with reverse lights. The vehicle also gets rear skid plates and integrated rear spoiler. Talking about its measurements, the new Santa Fe is 4,770 mm in length, a 71 mm increase from the ongoing models.

Inside the newest iteration of Santa Fe, sits a free-floating infotainment screen at the center of the dashboard. You will also find slimmer air-conditioning vents with climate control buttons below the screen. The second row also gets a couple of air-conditioning vents for the convenience of the rear passengers. The interior features a wraparound dash design along with hexagonal shapes and patterns throughout.

The Santa Fe is powered by a 2.2-litre CRDI turbo-diesel engine, which is expected to deliver a maximum power of 200 PS. It features a new 8-speed automatic transmission system. Hyundai has not yet provided the pricing details of the Santa Fe, however, we expect it to fall between PHP 2,500,000 to PHP 3,000,000.
