Lamborghini’s Squadra Corse makes Urus ST-X Concept Super SUV

MANILA: The Lamborghini Urus is one of the most amazing luxury SUVs in the automobile industry and the first of its kind from the house of the Italian automaker. However, if you thought that the car wasn’t as powerful as it is supposed to be as a ‘Lambo’, you would like to know about the new concept.

Lamborghini has brought the Urus ST-X Concept, a race-tuned track-focused SUV. It will be the company’s first purpose-built model. And the first ever Super SUV in the history of the one-make race. It has been built by the motorsport division of the brand, known as the Squadra Corse and is a lot different than the standard form.

The Lamborghini Urus ST-X Concept has been given a Verde Mantis color tone and holds a lot of additions done in carbon fibre. The front bumper from the stock model has been replaced by a more aerodynamic approach. It rides of 21-inch alloy wheels, while the rear wing has been changed to some extent. The air intakes up front allow better combustion and as a result, better cooling. Also, the exhaust system has a new and better setup now.

The Concept ST-X of the Lamborghini Urus is a lot sturdier, safer, and lighter than the standard model, thanks to the good number of modifications. It also has the FIA-approved safety equipment in the form of the fire-suppression system.

Mechanically, it is powered by a twin-turbocharged, 4.0-litre V8 engine that can thump out a humongous power of 668 PS and a peak torque of 850 Nm. For the power transmission to all the wheels, there is an 8-speed automatic gearbox unit. Though the power figures are still the same as the standard model, a better aerodynamic approach and lighter body would most likely enhance the power further.

The company is planning to bring this Urus ST-X at the Lamborghini World Finals 2019. However, the international reveal will be held in 2020.
