LausGroup celebrates 45 years

MANILA: Multi-brand automotive network LausGroup of Companies (LGC) celebrates its 45th anniversary today by looking back at the milestones of its subsidiaries in the automotive and insurance sectors.

Established in 1977 by Levy Laus, LGC has focused on promoting countryside development in Northern and Central Luzon.

LGC now has over 2,000 employees who demonstrate the core values of customer satisfaction, honesty and integrity, hard work and productivity, efficiency, and social responsibility.

LGC presently operates several automotive dealerships in Metro Manila, Central Luzon, and Northern Luzon. Among the car brands that the Laus Auto Group carries are Mitsubishi, Ford, Hyundai, Chevrolet, BMW, Volkswagen, Jeep, Peugeot, Kia, Mini, Mazda, Nissan, Suzuki, Foton, Geely, MG, Haima, and Changhe.

LGC also carries truck and bus brands, including Hyundai, Fuso, and Foton, and motorcycle brands such as BMW Motorrad, Harley-Davidson, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, and Vespa.

LGC and SMC Asia Car Distributors also inaugurated the Premier Motorrad, the first standalone BMW Motorrad dealership in Pampanga, today as part of LGC’s anniversary celebration.

LGC continues to expand its presence in Central Luzon with the ongoing construction of Carworld Bataan, which will be completed in the fourth quarter of the year.

Corporate Guarantee (CG), LGC’s non-life insurance arm, also recently celebrated its 25th anniversary.

CG recently received another three-year Certificate of Authority from 2022 to 2024 from the Philippine Insurance Commission.

In 2004, CG received an ISO certification, making it one of only six non-life insurance companies in the Philippines to earn such certification. CG is spearheaded by expert professionals in the non-life insurance sector who guarantee high-quality customer service while promoting career growth and development among its employees.

CG offers motor insurance, fire insurance, casualty insurance, cargo insurance, and bonds insurance. It has offices in Metro Manila, Pampanga, Bulacan, Tarlac, La Union, and Ilocos Norte.

In its 45 years, LGC has also fortified its commitment to social responsibility. One of the recent environmental and social outreach programs organized by the company is the Balik Baterya Program, where partner organizations Ford Philippines, Motolite, and the Philippine Business for Social Progress, gathered used lead acid batteries (ULAB) for proper recycling. Participating companies allocated the proceeds of their ULAB sales to their chosen beneficiaries.

In 2021, LGC Chief Executive Officer Lisset Laus-Velasco was recognized as a global Ford Dealership Honoree and received a grant from Ford Motor Company which was allocated to support the education of eligible Grade 12 students who will undergo an apprenticeship with LGC after their graduation.

Aside from its automotive and insurance subsidiaries, LGC also ventured into media. It owns media outlets such as RWFM 95.1 and CLTV 36, which showcase the economic development of Central and Northern Luzon.

According to Laus-Velasco, the joint efforts of the people who brought LGC to what it is today contribute to the upward trajectory of the company’s development and success.

“The LausGroup wouldn’t be where it is today if not for the hard work and dedication of all our team members who have been with us from the very beginning. As we celebrate 45 years of the LausGroup, we strive to champion countryside development by expanding our network across all our lines of business to take both Central and Northern Luzon to greater heights,” Laus-Velasco stated.

The festivities for LGC’s 45th anniversary are held at the LausGroup Complex in San Fernando City, Pampanga, in the presence of representatives from the local government, brand partners, and affiliates.
