Mitsubishi Strada to benefit from Dynamic Shield design

MANILA: The Dynamic Shield design is something that can be seen featuring on almost all latest Mitsubishi vehicle. The recent inclusion featuring it is the all-new Mitsubishi Xpander, whose pre-booking offer ended a few days back. Another popular car benefiting from this dynamic design is the high-selling Montero Sport.

Further expanding the Dynamic Shield design line-up, Mitsubishi has now decided to give the treatment to its long-running pick-up, the Strada. Introduced in the year 2013, Mitsubishi Strada was overdue for a revision. Also, the updated Strada, all camouflaged hiding the new design language was recently seen making rounds in Tonsley, South Australia.

Infused with company’s latest design language, the new Strada is expected to feature sharp, sleek, yet thin headlamps that perfectly merge into the X-shaped grille. Being an integral part of the Dynamic Shield design are enlarged fog lamps corned near the fenders. Thus, making the Strada pickup a twin to all the latest Mitsubishi launches.

The side and rear profile are believed to remain unchanged and replicate to the ongoing model. We can expect to see the J-curve pattern that seamlessly splits the cab from the bed along with a low swooping carrier that makes the pickup look taller.

Not many are aware, but this is not the first time Mitsubishi is enhancing its pick-up face with the dynamic shield. Back in the year 2103, at the Bangkok International Motor Show, Mitsubishi unveiled the GR-HEV concept carrying the said design on a pickup body style (looking very close to Strada).

Mitsubishi has not yet shared any details about the all-new Strada launch, spec, or price. But with frequent sightings of the camouflaged trim, the launch day doesn’t seem very far away. Apart from carrying a new impressive exterior look, we are hoping to see equivalent cabin modifications. As for the price tag, we are expecting a revision in the pricing section as well (mostly towards the higher end).
