New Isuzu mu-X breaks cover

MANILA: Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has formally unveiled the latest iteration of the mu-X.

The launch was conducted in time for the introduction of the company’s latest president, Mikio Tsukui.

“For over a decade, the Isuzu mu-X has been a staple in Filipino households, trusted by families, business professionals, and adventure seekers alike. With its new elevated design, enhanced features, and cutting-edge technology, we have no doubt that this latest model will once again set the standard in the SUV segment,” Tsukui shared.

“The new Isuzu mu-X raises the bar for what SUVs should be,” the company’s top honcho noted.

This is what buyers can have with the 2025 Isuzu mu-X.

Vehicle specifications

The spruced-up Isuzu mu-X has the following measurements:

While it virtually has the same size as its predecessor, it comes with significant updates in terms of aesthetics.

Among the notable portions are:

• New diamond grille design
• Fighter jet front bumper with air curtains
• Dynamic blade design bi-LED headlamps
• Modern-looking connecting taillamps
• Side steps in matte or gloss black finish
• 20-inch turbine-designed alloy wheels

Inside, the new Isuzu mu-X top-of-the-line trim features a cabin covered mostly in all-black leather and piano black accents.

Other amenities include:

• Seven-inch multi-information display
• Multi-functional steering wheel
• 10.1-inch touchscreen with Wireless Android Auto and Wireless Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth connectivity-mated to an eight-speaker set-up
• Multiple charging ports and wireless charging dock

The new Isuzu mu-X shares the same powertrain option as the previous version with the following churns:

• 4JJ3-TCX 3.0-liter Blue Power diesel mill: 187 horsepower(hp), 450 Newton-meters (Nm)
• RZ4E-TC: 1.9-liter mill: 148 hp, 350 Nm

Further, the spruced-up Isuzu mu-X’s mill options are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

Among the numerous technologies that might be found on the new Isuzu mu-X are:

• 360-degree camera with underfloor view
• Smart tailgate
• Anti-lock braking system with brake assist
• Hill start assist and descent control
• Brake override system
• Push start/stop
• Wireless charger

Available in Eiger Gray, Onyx Black, Satin Pearl White, Mercury Silver, Splash White, the 2025 Isuzu mu-X have the following prices:

• LS-E 4x4: P2.67 million
• LS-E 4x2: P2.32 million
• LS-A 4x2: P2.069 million
• RZ4E LS: P1.725 million

Isuzu enthusiasts and potential buyers can experience the new Isuzu mu-X at this year’s Manila International Auto Show slated April 10-13 at the World Trade Center in Pasay.
