Nissan NP300 Navara grabs the Prestigious 2016 International Pick-up Award

MANILA: After being named as “Truck of the Year” in Philippines, Nissan NP300 Navara wins 2016 International Pick-up award. The award giving ceremony was held at Lyon,France. As per the results, NP300 defeated other prominent pick-up trucks in the segment by a good margin. Nissan NP300 scored 80 points, while Ford Ranger and Mitsubishi L200 scored 39 points and 47 points respectively.

The award giving body, IPUA was launched by International Van of the year(IVOTY) in 2009. This body acknowledges the sincere efforts of pick-up truck manufacturers in making value-added pick-up trucks. The pick-up trucks that qualify all grounds of tests including environment and safety, take away the prestigious award. Nissan NP300 Navara is loaded with an impressive 2.3-litre dCi engine including tough chassis and five-link rear suspension. The judges found the exterior and interior amazing and beautifully designed in comparison to other pick-up trucks in the segment. The rear part is also 67 mm longer than its predecessor.

Philippe Guérin-Boutaud, Corporate Vice President, Nissan LCV Business division stated that “This is a matter of glory for us and this prestigious award celebrates 80 years of commitment in the pick-up segment. The multi-level testings reveal the power of Navara.”

By achieving these recognitions, It's clear that Nissan has become one of the leading manufacturer of best-in-class Pick-up trucks in the world. Nissan is looking into all possibilities in developing good  commercial vehicles. This will definitely let Nissan hold a good market share as well.
