Porsche tops 2022 JD Power APEAL Study

MANILA: Porsche ranked the highest in the JD Power 2022 US Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout (APEAL) Study. The study focuses on customer experience with owning and driving a new vehicle. Porsche has led the rankings for the third time in four years. The Porsche 911 also ranked the highest in the “Premium Sporty Car” category.

In a statement, Porsche Cars North America, Inc. The 2022 US APEAL Study measures car owners’ emotional attachment and level of excitement with their new vehicle across 37 attributes, including sense of comfort and luxury. These attributes combine into a total APEAL index score measure on a 1,000-point scale.

Porsche got 888 points, higher than the premium brand average of 872. The study is based on customer responses gathered from February to May 2022 from over 84,000 buyers and lessees of 2022 model-year vehicles surveyed after 90 days of ownership.
