Toyota Australia reveals 1st GR Supra Supercar ahead of 2026 season
Race car expected to make debut soon at Mount Panorama
MANILA: Toyota’s Australian arm has revealed its first GR Supra Supercar ahead of the 2026 Supercars Championship.

According to Toyota Australia, the remaining four cars will be fielded by Brad Jones Racing.Per the carmaker’s wing from “The Land Down Under,” the Gen3 Toyota GR Supra was designed by the Toyota Australia design team and homologation team partner Walkinshaw Andretti United (WAU).
A total of six Toyota GR Supra Supercars will line up on the 2026 Supercars Championship grid, with WAU poised to field two vehicles. Brad Jones Racing (BJR) will field the remaining four.
Per Toyota Australia, the driver lineup will be confirmed closer to the beginning of the 2026 season.

“What a fantastic day for Toyota, GR, and for Supercars – the racecar we see here today is the culmination of years of planning and hard work from countless people, and it’s safe to say it was well worth it,” Toyota Australia Vice President for Sales, Marketing, and Franchise Operations Sean Hanley was quoted saying.
“The GR Supra will make for an exciting addition to the Supercars grid next year, and we can’t wait to see it in action,” he added.
“Toyota has a rich history in Australian motorsport stretching way back to its first ever entry in international motorsport in the 1957 Mobilgas Round Australia Rally, and our entry into the Supercars Championship takes this to new heights,” Hanley noted.
Specifications of the race car are yet to be revealed, although it is expected to make its public debut soon at Mount Panorama, where it will be on display for public viewing and performing demonstration laps as part of this year’s Repco Bathurst 1000 in October.
Further activity has already been planned across the remaining rounds of the 2025 Supercars Championship, Toyota Australia confirmed.
