Yamaha Motor PH produces OST with Nik Makino

MANILA: Following the introduction of its local racing program, Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMPH) has recently produced a new soundtrack together with Filipino rapper Nik Makino.

Titled Creating Champions”, the new song will serve as the Yamaha Philippines Racing soundtrack.

Per YMPH, the soundtrack — first heard during the formal Fast Fest event wherein the company formally unveiled the Yamaha Sniper 155’s latest iteration — is inspired by the “unrelenting dedication to victory by Yamaha and its cultivation of Filipino racer.” “It also intends to bring together a community of enthusiasts that are engulfed by their passion with each beat,” the company added.

While the original soundtrack can now be enjoyed on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and YouTube Music, Deezer, and Google Play Music, its music video will debut on September 30 in all official Yamaha Philippines platforms.

Aside from seeing the Filipino artist, the video will also showcase the new Sniper 155 and Mio Aerox.

The aforementioned underbone features aesthetic upgrades compared to the version launched in 2021.

Its front fairing boasts bolder lines and sharper edges — with the upper left and right portions stretched a little upward, giving better coverage to the rider. It is equipped with an updated 155 cubic centimeter (cc), liquid-cooled, four-valve, fuel-injected engine mated to a constant mesh six-speed transmission system with wet multiple disc clutch technology.

With the retail price starting at P125,900, the new Yamaha 155 also comes with a variable valve actuation as well as an assist and slipper clutch — which can also be found on other models like the YZF-R1 and YZF-R15M.

Also fitted with a 155-cc powerplant, the Yamaha Mio Aerox is paired with a continuously variable transmission.

Guaranteeing the stopping power are the hydraulic disc brake at the front and a leading drum brake at the rear. It also boasts a digital meter panel and offers Y-Connect technology.

The Yamaha Mio Aerox’s base price is at P123,000.
