2020 Mitsubishi Montero Sport: Variants explained
There is no doubt that the Mitsubishi Montero Sport has gained popularity over the years given its sporty stance, dependable driving performance, and affordability for its segment.
The Monty has received some minor glow up for its 2020 model but the Japanese automaker Mitsubishi still made sure that it will not compromise its well-loved prowess on all terrains.
Most of the changes can be seen on front fascia where you may notice that the additional pair of lightings are somewhat similar to the Mitsubishi Xpander and Strada. From the more prominent triple-slat grille, daytime running lights, and updated front bumper, it is very clear that the Dynamic Shield design theme for Montero Sport was thoroughly refreshed.
Still equipped with 2422 cc 4N15 2.4-liter inline-four 16 valve Clean Diesel engine, both GLS and GT variants’ engines still comes with Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT) and the exclusive Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control or MIVEC. All the variants of the Mitsubishi Montero Sport shift gears through an 8-Speed Automatic transmission with Sports Mode that lets driving enthusiasts use the magnesium alloy paddle shifters as a manual override.
