2019 Nissan Navara price hiked owing to new infotainment system

MANILA: All the 2019 Nissan Navara 4x4 VL models gets a price hike and the reason behind that is the new infotainment system. Now, the vehicle has a maximum price tag of PHP 1,479,000, which means a total increment of PHP 20,000.

The infotainment system has a new larger 8-inch capacitive touchscreen panel. The user interface is enhanced that now helps to make the operations easier and more user-friendly. It also gets built-in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity support. All these together along with the larger display now makes the usability heightened and better.

To recall, the Nissan NP300 Navara 2.5L 4x4 VL 6MT comes with a 2.5-litre Inline four-Cylinder Variable Turbocharger (VGS) Intercooler engine, which is capable of churning out a maximum power of 187 hp along with a peak torque of 450 Nm. It is equipped with a six-speed manual transmission that sends the power to the wheels. There is also an option to have the seven-speed automatic transmission.

As for the suspension, there is an Independent Strut unit at the front while the Multi-Link is attached at the rear. There is also a bunch of safety features, which also include Anti-Lock Braking System, EBD, and several airbags. The car also features central locking, power door locks, anti-theft device, engine immobilizer, and anti-theft alarm.

The Navara is one of the big reasons behind the success of the carmaker in 2018. The nameplate contributes in around 46.2% of the manufacturer’s total sales share in the Philippines last year.
