Auto-manual gearbox, new features introduced to 2023 Suzuki S-Presso AGS

MANILA: Suzuki Philippines recently unveiled the much-awaited Automatic Gear Shift (AGS) edition of the New S-Presso, demonstrating that it pays attention to the opinions and needs of its customers.

“The S-Presso AGS will address the demand of our customers who have been waiting for the automatic version for quite some time now. We fully understand why the S-Presso has become a status symbol and a bold statement of one’s lifestyle, especially the young generation who wants to make a mark and fulfill their commitments in life,” said Norihide Takei, Director, and General Manager for Suzuki Automobile.

The modern mechanism created by Suzuki known as the AGS allows a manual transmission to perform automated gear changes or shifting without the driver having to depress the clutch pedal.

The competitively priced 2023 Suzuki S-Presso AGS is available in four colors: Sizzle Orange, Metallic Granite Gray, Fire Red, and White. The AGS variation costs P660,000, while the Manual Transmission costs P620,000.

2023 Suzuki S-Presso Engine Auto Start System

Drivers can now enjoy a more convenient, powerful performance, and economical drive from the S-Presso AGS, which supports its distinctive appearance and style.

This beauty is ready to provide a pleasurable ride while saving money thanks to the new one-liter K10C engine's Engine Auto Stop-Start System (EASS), which automatically shuts off the engine when the car is idle to reduce needless fuel use. The S-Presso’s fuel consumption is rated at 25kpl, Suzuki said.

The Suzuki S-Presso's center console, which has a distinctive design and is accented by a contemporary digital speedometer, is its most notable feature. Under the infotainment display are the manual air-conditioning system controls and a 12V socket and a USB port.

A multi-information display with a trip computer, and a new generation touchscreen audio system with built-in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are all new features inside the hatchback. Additionally, it sports a closer-to-the-passenger overhead microphone for enhanced voice reception during a hands-free chat. Hands-free Bluetooth control now allows for steering-wheel-mounted audio controls.

There are numerous passive and active safety measures in the redesigned S-Presso. It now has an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), which enables the passenger to drive the vehicle while it is turning. When accelerating or moving through slick roads or wet pavement, the ESP also ensures traction.

The Hill-Hold Control is another aspect to take note of because it prevents the car from rolling backward on steep inclines. Additionally, this cutting-edge technology controls the engine's power automatically and selectively applies the brakes to help the driver maintain control and comfort while driving.

2023 Suzuki S-Press Exterior

The Suzuki S-Presso has a striking exterior design that is emphasized by its unusual body shape. A sinewy front grille and bumpers highlight its athletic appearance. The hatchback's identity is also enhanced by the headlamps and C-shaped tail lamps. The S-Presso AGS and MT variants are identical as well (they receive standard alloy wheels, body-colored bumpers, and a key cylinder for the trunk).
