Earlier, the Dearborn-headquartered brand’s arm in the country launched a teaser just this month on its social media page about the coming of icons soon.
Also, Ford also declared that the Bronco nameplate will arrive in the country within the year.
While waiting for its official introduction locally, here are some details about the all-new Ford Mustang that is already available in other markets.
What the PH-bound 7th-gen Mustang could look like outside
Up front, the vehicle sports a low, horizontal brow across the front that highlights its overall frontal width, while the upper grille design shape is influenced by the original 1960s design. It is also fitted with tri-bar LED headlamps.
It also comes with a sleek roofline and a reduced rear overhang similar to the proportions of the first-generation model.
The vehicle's extended rear deck comes with an updated signature tri-bar lighting and redesigned diffuser.
Possible interior appointments
Inside, the all-new Ford Mustang features a fighter jet-inspired cockpit that houses a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.2-inch Sync 4 center console.
Also, drivers get to enjoy a race-inspired flat-bottomed steering wheel.
Probable engine options
Abroad, the latest version of the Ford Mustang has two engine options: the 2.3-liter EcoBoost and 5.0-liter Coyote V8.
It also has a new Remote Rev feature that provides the ability to rev the car’s engine distantly using the key fob, and an available new Electronic Drift Brake.
Tech advancements
The Philippine-bound all-new Mustang could be outfitted with Ford Co-Pilot 360 that includes speed sign recognition, intelligent adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane centering assist, evasive steer assist and reverse brake assist.
Surely, Ford customers in the Philippines would further welcome the all-new Mustang should it be outfitted with an active pothole mitigation system that monitors suspension, body, steering and braking input and adjusts suspension response accordingly.
Expect a huge price bump on the all-new Ford Mustang as the currently-retailed version locally is offered at P3.638 million.
