See the new Ford Performance and ARB 4×4 Accessories for Ford Ranger at the SEMA 2019

MANILA: As the SEMA reaches a fever-high pitch, automakers are getting their modifications in full swing. It is indeed a great venue to showcase off-road capabilities of tricked out pick-up trucks, SUVs, and cars to fit the outdoor and adventure lifestyle. And Ford wants to highlight how its Ranger fits this kind of outdoor adventure lifestyle through accessories.

To come up with off-road worthy accessories, Ford Performance collaborated with ARB 4×4 Accessories to design and develop off-road accessories and vehicle recovery parts for Ford adventure seekers.

Eric Cin, global director, Ford Vehicle Personalization and Accessories, says that the collaboration is a “dream come true” for Ranger customers looking for the ultimate adventure. “With 45 years of design and engineering experience in the overlanding and rock-crawling world, ARB is bringing additional options for Ranger customers looking to make their truck even more capable.”

For Lachlan McCann, ARB chief operating officer, “The goal of the relationship between ARB and Ford Performance is to provide Ford customers premium and functional off-road accessories that inspire personalized vehicle customization, improve off-road capability, and empower customers to feel comfortable using their vehicles – even in remote areas.”

The first fruit of the collaboration between Ford Performance and ARB is a winch-capable front bumper for the Ford Ranger.

The winch-ready bumper is a 3/16”-thick welded steel sheet mounted directly to the chassis of the pick-up to make sure it stays in place and handle winching heavy loads. The sheet is powder-coated for added durability and protection against rust and corrosion. An integrated mount is incorporated in the design for simple and quick winch installation with easy access to winch controls via the split center pan.

Besides the winch, the new ARB bumper can also be fitted with other off-road accessories through its mounting points and jacking points to maximize off-road functionality. Compatible accessories that can be fitted to the all-new winch-capable front bumper for Ford Ranger include: Rigid LED light bars, extended radio antennas, sand flag mounts, and jacking points for off-road jacks.

The winch-capable bumper is compatible with all the Ranger’s sensors and safety tech and can be installed on any North American Ranger configuration by any authorized Ford dealership. The market suggested retail price for the product is $1,495 (Php 75,295).
