Have a look at the upcoming BMW i4

MANILA: Electric vehicles are the future and set to overtake the internal combustion engines sooner than later. With the race getting tougher by each passing day, more and more automakers are coming up with hybrids and pure electric vehicles. BMW has also put its hands in the flowing waters with the i8 hybrid.

However, the next step by the German automaker seems to be a big one. Images and details of the upcoming four-door coupe by BMW are here, and the sedan will consume nothing but electricity.

While the car will be launched in the year 2021, BMW has already revealed limited details about the car. The images too, are of the car wearing camouflage and thus, not much can be interpreted about the design language of the EV.

However, by the look of it, one would say that the saloon is reminiscent of the 4 Series Gran Coupe. The car is seen featuring the traditional BMW long hood and sleek rook profile. The double-kidney grille, while is sure to feature on the car, we expect it to be slightly modified.

Coming to the mechanicals, while there no power figures revealed yet, BMW has claimed that the i4 will be capable of knocking 0-100 kmph run in 4 seconds and have a top speed of 200 kmph. The most interesting claim is the range of 600 km on a single charge,

and if the i4 can deliver on the promises, we expect the EV to give its competitors and even gas/diesel-fed motor a run for their money. Guess what? The BMW X7 is also in the ASEAN region and we might get the SUV soon, why not check it out here?
