MG ZS 2020 with a new design and engine

MG is quite a new name in the Philippines market and is gaining up customer responses quickly. Among the models launched to date, the ZS is working quite well for the company. Though the crossover is not too old, still it is getting a new look and more power soon as announced by the automaker recently.

The 2020 MG ZS features a new hexagonal radiator grille that looks more angular and aggressive with the sleeker headlamps and new LED daytime running lights The bumper corners are slightly more rounded off than earlier which lends some extra muscle and a sportier styling with the impression of more side air intakes and gloss black fins. The front fog lamps are located below the gloss black fins and the rear fog lamps are positioned above the gloss black fins.

Inside the cabin, mild changes are done. The most important up-gradation that lies here is a larger infotainment screen with more connectivity options. The other changes which can be observed include more highlights on the steering wheel, doors and centre console to bring more contrast to the interiors. Another noticeable change in 2020 MG ZS is its gear selector which now incorporates an embossed MG logo. The automaker has also upgraded its mechanical parking brake to an electronic one.

Along with the facelift, more power is added to the new crossover ZS. The vehicle is fitted with a new turbocharged 1.3-litre engine churning power of 163 PS and peak torque of 230 Nm, which is much higher than the current 1.5-litre, naturally aspirated engine which produces 114 PS of power and 150 Nm of torque. It means the automaker has followed the engine downsizing trend with the upcoming version.

Although the model will be launched globally sooner or later, China will be the first market to get the all-new 2020 MG ZS.
