Nissan Navara N-Guard special edition to debut at Hannover Motor Show

MANILA: Nissan has given a makeover to the Navara pickup truck. Along with the makeover, it has also come with a whole range of standard features. The post-makeover Navara is launched as a special edition model named, the N-Guard.

The new Nissan Navara N-Guard trim has the complete blacked-out scheme that makes it exclusive over the standard. In fact, this black treatment is given both outside and inside along with the addition of three different colours to choose from. At the front, the grille, fog lamp clusters and rear-view mirrors are given the black paint job. Also, the 18-inch alloy wheels and roof rails are given the same treatment.

Apart from the black theme, there is one more thing that makes it different from the standard. We are talking about the graphic design that fills the lower skirt along the sides. Stepping inside, you will notice a different theme altogether. To start off, there are new cloth and leather seats that are finished in yellow/dark grey colour along with contrasting stitches in yellow. The same pattern is followed for the floor mat as well.

The safety equipment list is kept the same as standard and you get a 360-degree AVM (around-view monitor), hill-start assist, vehicle dynamic control, hill-descent control, airbags, and anti-lock braking system.

Under the hood, the new Nissan Navara N-Guard is powered by a 2.3-litre dCi diesel engine with two turbochargers. The motor can thump out a maximum power of 190 PS along with a peak torque of 450 Nm. Power is transmitted to the wheels via a 7-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual.

This special edition Navara N-Guard will make its official debut at the Hannover Motor Show 2018. Yet, the company has not given any official word whether it will be sold outside the United Kingdom or not.
