Porsche PH to expand electrified roster with Macan Electric introduction this week

MANILA: Porsche Philippines will expand the locally-retailed Macan lineup with the introduction of a purely-electric version this week.

Based on its announcement, the PGA-managed vehicle importer will unveil the Porsche Macan Electric on Sunday (January 26).

“Prepare to take performance to the next electrifying level,” the company noted on its post over Facebook.

While waiting for the firm to share the model’s full details, here are new-generation Porsche Macan Electric's possible specifications for the local market.

Exterior

The arriving new Porsche Macan will likely have the following dimensions as seen overseas:

• Length x width, height (in millimeters [mm>): 4,784 x 1,938 x 1,621-1,623
• Wheelbase (in mm): 2,893

The vehicle’s exterior features include its sloping flyline, two-part headlights, air curtains at the front fascia, flat rear windows, frameless doors with side blades, up to 22-inch wheels, as well as the lateral tear-off edges and the louvered diffuser at the rear.

Interior

For its interior, the all-new Porsche Macan Electric is outfitted with a 12.6-inch, curved-design instrument cluster, 10.9-inch central display, head-up display, and an optional 10.9-inch screen for the front passenger.

Powertrain

Abroad, the Porsche Macan Electric is served in four trims:

• Macan 4S Electric
• Macan Turbo Electric
