Suzuki PH highlights commercial vehicle roster at 2024 PCVS

MANILA: Suzuki Philippines (SPH) has displayed its commercial vehicle lineup at the recently-held 2024 Philippine Commercial Vehicle Show (PCVS).

Last July 18-20, the Japanese automaker’s local arm showcased the Ertiga Hybrid dressed as a taxi, Carry in utility van and public utility vehicle Class 1 versions, and the APV GA.

Per SPH, the said models exemplify “Suzuki’s commitment to delivering efficiency, reliability, and functionality, making them ideal choices for commercial use in the dynamic and demanding Philippine market.”

Ertiga Hybrid Taxi

At the event, SPH modified the Suzuki Ertiga GA Hybrid into a five-seater taxi. It is basically the standard GA model but is configured to carry up to five passengers and still has ample space for luggage.

Its mild-hybrid powertrain makes it an ideal choice for taxi operators who want low operating costs while being environment-friendly.

Aside from that, the Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid also boasts modern amenities and safety features, ensuring a comfortable and secure ride.

Although the Ertiga Hybrid GA Taxi is an innovative approach to sustainable and efficient commercial transport solutions, SPH clarified that the said display is currently not for sale.

Suzuki APV GA

Meanwhile, the Suzuki APV is a multi-purpose vehicle suited for commercial use and a variety of applications. Its robust and professional look starts with the reassuring bonnet, a flowing extended silhouette, and a thick bumper with flared fenders.

Powering the vehicle is a 1.6-liter normally-aspirated gasoline engine that can dish out a peak output of 91 horses and 127 Newton-meters of torque. The said mill is matched to a five-speed manual transmission.

It also provides ample storage space, making it ideal for transporting goods, equipment, or supplies. Thanks to its foldable seats, the Suzuki APV’s cabin can be reconfigured to accommodate either passengers or additional cargo space as needed.

Further, the Suzuki APV’s no-nonsense interior is fitted with a single-DIN audio unit with auxiliary and USB connectivity and has front dual airbags as safety features.

 Suzuki Carry options

The Suzuki Carry showcased at the 2024 PCVS comes in two versions: the PUV Class 1 and the Utility Van.

For the PUV Class 1 option, SPH retained the core specifications of other Carry variants such as its lightweight, small displacement powertrain but designed it to carry up to 10 people (including the driver). The said version shall soon become available as part of the model’ standard trims.

On the other hand, the Carry Utility Van is fitted with 50/50 split-folding rear seats on both sides to help fit more cargo when needed. It also comes with a step board on the rear for easier ingress and egress for passengers. Moreover, the Carry Utility Van has a 70/30 split back door with a heavy-duty lock.
