TRD accessories launched for Toyota Rush in South Africa
MANILA: Toyota South Africa recently launched a variety of TRD (Toyota Racing Development) accessories for its new Toyota Rush (manufactured in Indonesia). This is to provide the customers with a chance to buy the individual TRD accessories or the copy of accessories that come with the Rush TRD sportive offered in Indonesia. This will definitely make the crossover look more stunning and tempting.
The accessories that mirror the look of the Rush TRD Sportivo derivative offered in markets such as Indonesia can be purchased separately in South Africa. And the other accessories offered locally incorporate a safety Film Kit (offered in 100 and 150 micron guises), wind deflectors, a chrome finish and a collapsible boot organizer.
The variety ranges from the TRD front bumper spoiler and extends to the part, such as faux diffuser/ skid-plate for the rear and TRD side moldings. The faux-diffusers/ skid plates round back is also an option, which the company says provides the Rush with an “extra layer of protection to help guard the side panels”.
For the Avanza based crossover, the most important accessory is the integrated TRD “front bumper spoiler”. The company says it adds both “style and protection”. The heavy-knit TRD covers fit around the standard fog lamps while the TRD decals can be applied along the bottom of the rear doors.
The two versions of the Toyota Rush which are sold in South Africa are equipped with a 1.5Litre 2NR-VE in-line four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 104PS at 6,000rpm and 136Nm of torque at 4,200rpm. It is offered with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. Both the variants are 2WD (the Rush is a rear wheel drive SUV).
The Toyota Rush is 4,435mm long, 1,695mm wide, 1,705mm tall and the wheelbase are measured around 2,685mm. The basic features include 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, smart entry with push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear parking sensors and navigation system.
The Toyota Rush is priced between Php 948,000 – Php 1,070,000 in the Philippines. The time to choose is now.
