Toyota Yaris Cross SE
Toyota Motor Philippines introduced the Yaris Cross SE. It now stands as the nameplate’s top-of-the-line trim, retailing at P1.69 million.
Under the hood of the model is a 1.5-liter gasoline engine capable of producing up to 109 horsepower (hp) and 121 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.

Ford Territory Hybrid, Mustang Mach-E
Ford Philippines has introduced the all-new Mustang Mach-E and the Territory Hybrid. The aforementioned nameplates represent the car brand’s first electrified salvo for the local market.
As of its launch, the Ford Territory Hybrid has a price ranging from P1.399 million-P1.599 million, across two trims.
The Ford Mustang Mach-E, on the other hand, is an all-electric crossover priced at P3.499 million.

Yamaha Aerox
Yamaha Motor Philippines introduced the all-new Aerox. It entered with two different variants, with its entry-level Standard trim retailing at P125,900. The nameplate’s top-spec version, the Aerox SP, meanwhile, starts at P163,900.

Suzuki GSX-8T, GSX-8TT
Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH) has rolled out the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT naked, retro-inspired sport bikes. Both are propelled by a 776-cubic-centimeter (CC) parallel-twin, double overhead cam (DOHC) engine paired with shift-by-wire technology.
Pricing for the cowled Suzuki GSX-8TT is set at P729,000. The Suzuki GSX-8T, meanwhile, retails at P699,000.

Ford Bronco 60th Anniversary Package
In celebration of the iconic Bronco nameplate’s birthday on August 11, Ford released the 60th Anniversary Package trim. Per the American brand, the selling period for the new trim will start in October 2025, though no pricing details were shared.

Upcoming global launches
BMW iX3
The BMW iX3, the brand’s first-ever model under the “Neue Klasse” range, is set to debut at the IAA Mobility 2025 show in Munich, Germany, in September.
No specifications for the all-electric ride were disclosed just yet, but it uses a totally new platform that is different from the internal combustion X3.

Mercedes-Benz GLC Electric
At the upcoming IAA Mobility 2025, Mercedes-Benz will formally introduce the GLC Electric. Per the brand, it is still a midsize sport utility vehicle (SUV). Its name, however, is hinting at an all-electric powertrain.

Honda Prelude
Honda has provided an early glimpse of the next-generation Prelude. Like its iconic predecessor, the model is a two-seater coupe. It will, however, come with a new electrified powertrain implied to be similar to the one on the current version of the Civic RS e:hybrid electric vehicle (HEV).
Per Honda’s teaser on the Prelude, its formal introduction is set to happen sometime this coming September.

Upcoming cars PH
BYD Tang DM-i
BYD Cars Philippines is gearing up to introduce the Tang dual-mode intelligent (DM-i). The aforementioned is hinted at by its homologation papers published by the Land Transportation Office (LTO). The same source also indicated that the upcoming SUV can produce up to 268 hp. It will also have an all-electric range of 110 km.

Local car promos
From August 1-8, 2025, a number of brands introduced new car promos, some of which were designed to help those negatively affected by recent weather phenomena. Examples include SPH’s “Flood Support Program, Morris Garages (MG) Motor Philippines’ parts discount offers, and Mitsubishi Motors Philippines’ “Support on Standby” program.
Lynk & Co Philippines is also offering attractive payment terms until September 30, 2025. JMC Philippines also has discounts for its pickup trucks, while PGA Cars has rolled out an attractive trade-in program for current owners of cars from its lineup of luxury brands. Lastly, Honda Cars Philippines introduced enticing deals for a variety of its vehicles until the end of the month.
Other local industry developments
In the first two weeks of August 2025, the local car industry saw plenty of developments. In the realm of motorsports, future iterations of the annual Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines Cup will include a one-make race using the Toyota Tamaraw.
Hyundai Motor Philippines Incorporated also brought its Mobility Experience event to Cebu, while Isuzu Philippines Corporation has already sold a total of 30,000 Traviz units.
Kia Motor Philippines, meanwhile, will be seeing a “reset” under the leadership of its newly-minted Managing Director Jose Marie Lopez. Tesla Philippines also opened four new charging stations, while Mercedes-Benz Philippines has appointed a new dealer-partner in Cebu.
In addition, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation has established a new finance division. BYD Cars PH also donated several vehicles to Ayala Group’s charitable arm.
