2019 Ford Everest will be in the Philippines in August 2019

MANILA: Come August 2019, and we will, at last, have the 2019 Ford Everest in the Philippines. The wait has certainly been a long one and the anticipation for the newest iteration of the SUV among the Filipinos has grown in leaps and bounds. So, with the refreshed SUV around the corner, let's discuss the updates that the American seven-seater is going to boast.

For starters, there will be a new Gold Silver Metallic finish that will be available on the new SUV. Also, the HIDs on the current-gen model will be replaced by all-LED headlights. Other updates on the exterior of the 2019 Ford Everest will comprise of a redesigned front bumper, new grille, and a fresh set of alloy wheels.

Moving inside the SUV we will find one-touch power windows for all passengers, smart key with push-button start/stop, foot-activated hands-free tailgate, and a gear shift-mounted manual override. The engine will be the same bi-turbo 2.0-litre diesel engine that we have seen on the Ranger Raptor.

The engine will produce 213 hp of maximum power and a peak torque of 500 Nm. Moreover, the single-turbo version of the same engine will churn out 180 hp of maximum power along with a peak torque of 420 Nm. A ten-speed automatic transmission will deliver the power to the wheels.

In terms of safety, the American SUV will continue to sport a total of seven SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, tyre pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors with rear camera, active park assist, rollover mitigation, auto high beam control, driver alert system, and blind-spot information system.

Along with the aforementioned safety equipment, the 2019 Ford Everest will also feature Autonomous Emergency Braking or AEB that will work in tandem with a monocular front camera. For now, the pricing of the 2019 Ford Everest remains unclear as the automaker has not released an official statement concerning the same.
