2019 Toyota Avanza interior images leaked

MANILA: Ahead of its official launch, more images of the Toyota Avanza have been leaked. While the previous images unveiled the front and the rear design language, the new images show how it looks like from inside. Popular in multiple ASEAN markets including Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines, Toyota Avanza is a mini MPV. From the previously leaked images, it can be seen that the updated Avanza comes with a completely redesigned front profile.

The car takes styling cues from its elder siblings Alphard and Vellfire. It gets a tweaked front grille, spilt headlights, central air intake and a chrome strip on the tailgate. The new design makes the MPV look larger than the outgoing model. Now talking about the interior design, there are no big changes when compared to the previous offering. However, what’s interesting is that the Avanza gets an automatic climate control system in its higher-end variant, the Veloz. Also, it features a new infotainment screen that will now be integrated into the centre panel.

Reportedly, the new model could get newly designed graphics as well. Any other changes are not revealed yet, though there is a possibility of a newly designed seating pattern to make its way to the MPV. In terms of mechanicals, the Avanza will be offered with a 1.3-litre (95 PS) and a 1.5-litre (103 PS) powertrain options. The engines will be mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission.

Based on a leaked price list from Indonesia, the model range starts with the 1.3E Standard and goes up to 1.5 Veloz, same as before. There is no official news about its launch in the Philippines, but the MPV is expected to hit the markets by mid-2019.
