Chery Auto PH surpasses 1K-unit sales mark for Tiggo rEV

MANILA: Chery Auto Philippines (CAP) has surpassed the 1,000-unit sales mark for the Tiggo rEV, underscoring the growing popularity of its best-selling electrified model.

In a statement, the company noted that the milestone reflects the growing adoption of electrified mobility among Filipino motorists.

“The milestone of over 1,000 Tiggo rEVs on Philippine roads means that more customers are discovering that the Tiggo rEV delivers the right balance of efficiency, performance, comfort, and advanced technology while providing real savings in everyday driving,” CAP Brand Head Franz Decloedt was quoted as saying.

“We are grateful for the trust our customers continue to place in the Chery brand, and we remain committed to delivering mobility solutions that make every family journey smarter and more rewarding,” he added.

The Chery Tiggo rEV’s increasing presence in the Philippines followed the distributor’s momentum this year. As of June 2026, CAP's year-to-date sales reached 981 vehicles, up 58 percent from the same period last year.

In June alone, the company delivered 220 vehicles, marking a 69-percent increase from June 2025.

Vehicle specifications

Powering the vehicle in front-wheel-drive format is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with plug-in Chery Super Hybrid Technology, which can deliver:

This powertrain configuration is mated to a six-speed dedicated hybrid transmission and a 18.66 kilowatt-hour lithium iron phosphate battery with Chery Guardian Battery System that allows to do 84.28 kilometers per liter of gasoline equivalent (based on the 2025 Department of Energy Fuel Economy Run results).

The seven-seater crossover’s host of cabin amenities include:
