Honda Cars PH releases City, City Hatchback’s 30th edition options

MANILA: Honda Cars Philippines Incorporated (HCPI) has unveiled limited-run options of the City and City Hatchback.

Unveiled alongside the new Honda CR-V over the weekend, the models’ “30th Anniversary Pearl Edition” trims were the company’s way of celebrating 30 years of the City’s presence in the country.

The two newest products that HCPI offers are powered by 1.5-liter inline four-pot double overhead cam i-VTEC engines, and fitted with Honda Sensing suite of technologies — just like the models’ lineup made up of the S, V, and RS.

Here are some notable bits about the 30th Anniversary Pearl Edition of Honda subcompact sedan and hatchback offerings.

30th Anniversary Pearl Edition City

For its 30th Anniversary Pearl Edition version, the City 1.5 S CVT Honda Sensing is outfitted with additional black accents found at the following portions:

• Door mirror/outer handle
• Front grille
• Alloy Wheels

This version is being retailed for P1.039 million.

30th Anniversary Pearl Edition City Hatchback

 The versatile hatchback has been upgraded with sporty accessories for its 30th Anniversary Pearl Edition variant, including:

• Black Honda Badge and City Emblem
• Front Under Spoiler
• Rear Under Spoiler
• Front Center Garnish
• Front Fog Garnish
• Tailgate Spoiler Garnish
• Extended Rear Bumper
• Exhaust Pipe Finisher

This limited-edition version can be had for P1.279 million.

Both the City and City Hatchback 30th Anniversary Pearl Edition variants come in Platinum White Pearl only, at a lower price compared to the customer purchasing this color on a different variant. They also carry the exclusive 30th Anniversary Pearl Edition emblems.

During the event, HCPI President Rie Miyake shared that the firm sold more than 150,000 examples of the City since the badging was brought to the country in 1996 and is one of the best-sellers over the years.

Since then, it had five full model changes — with facelifts and special editions in between, which include a Mugen Limited Edition and a 1.5 Sport CVT.

On the other hand, more than 3,700 City Hatchback examples were delivered to customers since 2021.
